Demo version 2026-10-28-demo-1 · Prepared 28 October 2026 1. Operator and scope DEMO OPERATOR DETAILS — legal entity name, postal address, privacy/grievance contact and public support email will be added before publication. HillRide currently uses Innovative Archive branding. These terms cover the HillRide mobile app and website. This is a local draft for review, not a representation of regulatory approval. Use Support tickets for account, ride, payment or privacy questions while using this demo. 2. Accounts and acceptance You must be at least 18 to create an account or independently book a ride. A responsible adult must arrange and accompany children. Give accurate contact information and keep your sign-in secure. Do not impersonate others or use another person's account. Signup requires affirmative acceptance of these Terms and the Rider Agreement and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. Drivers separately accept the Driver Agreement. Policy version and acceptance time are recorded. Optional device permissions are requested separately. 3. Platform and availability Booking and scheduling are limited to mobile phones with a session location confirmation inside Ukhrul district. Confirmation lasts up to three hours with occasional earlier rechecks. Pickup, destination and handoff points must be inside the service area. Desktop browsing, account access and support remain available. Cached confirmation is not continuous proof of presence; device/browser signals can be inaccurate or manipulated. HillRide connects passengers with participating drivers. It currently takes no commission per ride; drivers may pay the subscription displayed to them. This business model does not remove obligations imposed by law. Driver approval is an administrative review, not a guarantee of safety or identity. Availability, pickup time and arrival targets are estimates. Day/night permissions and service hours may limit matching. 4. Booking, calls and scheduling A request or saved schedule does not guarantee a taxi. A ride is assigned only after driver acceptance. Call each other after acceptance to confirm the pickup, waiting arrangements and requirements. Opening a dialer does not prove a call connected. Scheduled search opens 30 minutes before passenger pickup: manual mode requires rider action after a reminder; automatic mode is authorized when selected. Search continues for up to ten minutes, ending sooner if pickup time arrives. Notifications depend on permissions, network and device conditions; check the booking status. 5. Cancellation and waiting There is no platform cancellation fee initially. Confirm cancellation before the driver leaves. Once the driver marks Out for pickup, call the driver to discuss cancellation; the driver records the result. Waiting time is agreed directly. If calls are unanswered, the driver can record an attempted-contact cancellation. Do not falsely mark departure, arrival, payment or trip completion. A cancellation never automatically refunds money already paid. Safety help and support remain accessible. 6. Route, fare and payment The original road quote is an estimate for the booked route. Discuss extra stops, destination changes and any revised total verbally before proceeding; the assigned driver records the agreed destination/fare and both sides are notified. Call or raise a ticket if the recorded change was not intended. There is no automatic surcharge or in-app two-sided approval of changes. Pay the driver by cash or UPI, normally at the end; an agreed advance or partial payment is allowed. Check the recipient and amount in your UPI app. HillRide does not receive, hold, split or independently verify the passenger's payment. Driver-recorded receipts are not bank verification. Arrange refunds directly or seek admin assistance; statutory rights remain available. 7. Driver handoffs The driver may request an eligible replacement, including a registered driver they know, after discussing a safe handoff. Assignment changes only when the replacement accepts. Check the new driver and vehicle before proceeding. The finishing driver receives the journey fare under the direct arrangement. Earlier passenger payments remain credited; drivers must settle those funds between themselves, without charging the passenger twice. The platform does not transfer those funds. A failed transfer request leaves the original assignment in place for further discussion. 8. Conduct, safety and support No harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, unsafe driving, misuse of contact details or unlawful activity. Check vehicle/driver details and use a PIN where enabled. PIN verification does not guarantee safety. HillRide is not an emergency response service. Use device calling and appropriate local emergency services for immediate danger. Support tickets are reviewed by the local admin when available; no instant or 24-hour response is promised. Do not put passwords, full bank credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in tickets. Accounts may be restricted for misuse, with support available to request review. 9. Responsibility and legal rights Drivers must meet applicable licensing, vehicle, insurance, permit and safety requirements. Users remain responsible for their own actions and truthful information. We do not guarantee uninterrupted maps, GPS, push delivery, banking services or transport availability. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, consumer remedies, privacy rights or access to competent authorities. Applicable Indian law governs subject to mandatory rights and competent jurisdiction; no exclusive venue is invented for this demo. 10. Changes and contact Material changes should be presented with a new version and renewed acceptance where needed; continued use alone is not treated as consent to unrelated data uses. Public operator and grievance contact details remain demo placeholders and must be completed before publication. In this demo, contact the admin through Support tickets.
